Two brothers · One studio
A small indie studio with outsized ambition. Right now we're heads-down on Bushwack TD — a tower defense game that hands maze-building back to the player.
We grew up sharing a couch and a controller — arguing over strategy, trading high scores, and dreaming up the games we wished existed.
Years later, we finally decided to build them. Hedgerow Games is a two-person studio run by brothers Justin and Ford. One of us drives the vision, the other writes the code, and together we're turning a lifelong hobby into a studio.
We're small on purpose. It keeps us honest, fast, and obsessed with the details that make a game feel good to play.
The big-picture brother. Justin owns design, strategy, art direction, and getting Bushwack TD in front of players. If it isn't engineering, it's probably on his desk — and he likes it that way.
The maker brother. Ford is the engine room — pathfinding, rendering, and the systems that keep a hundred enemies marching at a buttery 60fps. He turns wild ideas into something you can actually play.
A mobile tower defense game with a twist: your towers are the maze. Build the path, bend the route, and outsmart everything the garden throws at you.
Most tower defense games hand you a fixed path and ask where to drop your towers. Bushwack TD flips that. Here, your towers and hedges are the walls — so every piece you place reshapes the route enemies are forced to walk.
The longer and twistier the maze you build, the bigger the damage multiplier you unlock. It rewards clever planning over brute force — and no two players solve a wave the same way.
Each match is a battle of wits against escalating waves. Earn gold, spend it on towers and hedges, and shape a gauntlet the enemies have to survive.
Waves cycle through different enemy types — fast runners, armored tanks, and overwhelming swarms — so the maze that won the last round won't always save you in the next. Every fifth wave shakes up the rhythm, building toward a signature boss showdown.
Towers climb a tier ladder — each rung hits harder, costs more, and unlocks through the card system. Mix and match to cover every threat in the garden.
Four combat flavors to plan around:
Bushwack TD is in active development. We're building the core engine, tuning the maze mechanic, and getting it ready for an iOS beta — with Android to follow.
